As many members of the Association of Writers & Writing Programs (AWP) already know, this Thursday, writers, writing programs, literary magazines and small presses from around the country will be descending on Seattle. Bayou is no exception! AWP registrants can take a stroll through the bookfair on Level 4 of the Washington State Convention Center, (800 Convention Place in Seattle) and find us at the University of New Orleans table along with information about UNO’s MFA in Creative Writing’s residency, low res, and study abroad options any time from 8:30-6 Thursday to Saturday.
Not registered for the conference, no problem. The Bayou Magazine Contributor’s Reading is off conference grounds and open to the public. Swing by the BottleNeck Lounge Thursday night, and you’ll hear Issue 60 contributors Michelle Chan Brown, Rosebud Ben-Oni, Jillian Weise, Kara Candito, Katelyn Kiley, Patti Crouch, Abraham Smith, and Gabriel Kalmuss-Katz, as well as Issue 59 Contributor Matt Brock read from their Bayou-published works.
Thursday, February 27 at 7pm

Come join us for some excellent readings, drinks, truffle popcorn, and all the literary hobnobbing you can bear!
