ABOUT US
Founded in 2002, Bayou Magazine is an international literary magazine based at the University of New Orleans. We accept poetry, fiction, and art. We also publish the winner of the annual Tennessee Williams One-Act Play Contest. Our mission is to present exceptional, original writing by established and emerging writers.
Writing that first appeared in Bayou Magazine has been nominated for or won international poetry, story and book awards. And sometimes, our authors end up doing Ted talks, like Issue 40 contributor, Chimimanda Ngoze Adichie.
